Our work was drastically altered when the pandemic hit in March 2020. As individuals, our lives have changed; the impact of the ongoing pandemic has shifted our focus internally to our families, our friends…ourselves. As an arts organizations, we have struggled to figure out how to survive when live, in-person rehearsals and concerts cannot take place.
Quarryland has been meeting both virtually and in-person, conducting theory lessons and working on improving our musical knowledge so that when it is safe to resume singing, we will be better positioned to provide an outstanding musical experience. Utilizing the GALA Chorus program entitled A New Harmony: Equity, Access and Belonging, we are examining the role of Quarryland within a larger community; becoming a chorus that truly represents the community that it serves.
Rehearsals are not set to resume until September of 2021, but the organization’s importance within the LGBTQ+ community of South- Central Indiana has not diminished. Please keep in touch with us via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, or Instagram. Sign up to receive our monthly enews. We might not have much to report for a bit but we want to make sure you know when we are able to gather again.
Thank You, Sponsors!
Quarryland has been the musical voice of the LGBTQ+ community since 2002. Maintaining our presence requires support from companies who believe that music can support and enrich those who feel disenfranchised and underserved. We deeply appreciate the support of our season and concert sponsors. MORE ABOUT SPONSORSHIPS
